A Reasoning Faith — Introduction

A Reasoning Faith — Introduction

This material, covering 7 lessons, is not intended to answer all the questions that could be raised about Christianity, however it does address what we believe to be the critical issues.

  • Is Christianity credible?
  • Is there a God?
  • Does man need Him?
  • Is man responsible to God?

In these lessons, Mr Laidlaw, a successful business man, relates how faith and reason work hand in hand in answering these critical issues. We trust that as you study you too will discover that the Christian faith is both practical and reasonable.

As You Begin

Each lesson contains a simple Bible study followed by either a self-check test or an exam. We recommend that you review the exam or self-check test before you start the reading material. This quick review will help you focus on the essential elements of the lesson. As you read through the material be sure to look up all the Scripture references in your Bible. We recommend that you use a King James, New American Standard (NASB) or an NIV version.

A Word About The Exams And Self-Check Tests

Lessons 1, 3, 5, and 7 are followed by exams that should be completed and then either submitted online or mailed into IRR. The exams following lessons 3, 5, and 7 cover the material in the two preceding lessons.

Lessons 2, 4 and 6 are followed by self-check tests which are intended for you to evaluate your own progress as you study. After you have completed the self-check test you can compare your answers with the answer key linked to this course (Self-check test answers). The self-check test should not be mailed into IRR.

Special Prayer Requests

The staff of IRR meets weekly for prayer on behalf of its students. If you have a special prayer request, please send it to us at any time. If you mail prayer requests in with your lessons, we request that you put them on a sheet separate from your exams.
